London is the Place for me,
London that lovely city.
You can go to France or America,
India, Asia, or Africa,
But you must come back to
London City…

Dearest London,
This isn’t goodbye. Not even close. I’ll be back in eight years, I promise.
Love,
Julia

“Julia & Vicky’s Harry Potter and Stuff Tour”

Today my fellow harry potter and Whovian fangirl Vicky and I chose to walk around London for the last time via Harry Potter filming sites. We walked by Diagon Alley, the entrance to the Ministry of Magic, and Millennium Bridge. We also got a little ADD and went off the walking tour a bit. It was a good day.

Diagon Alley!

Entrance to Ministry of Magic…minus the phonebooth.

But here’s me in a phonebooth…lol.

And on the way to Millennium Bridge, we came across a shop that had an awesome selection of Doctor Who merchandise. And apparently on May 27th Tom Baker is going to be there. NOT FAIR.

I also took Vicky to see Courtauld Gallery (the place with the Vincent Van Gogh self-portrait) and got my own picture of the outside courtyard. I really like it there.

And then we went on the Millennium Bridge, which both Vicky and I posed with a sonic screw driver that she bought:

And last but not least we went to the mandatory place on any Harry Potter walking tour: KINGS CROSS!

The “Other” things: portrait gallery at the National Gallery, Twining’s English Tea Shop, Paddington Station, and M&M world.

Now on to a good night’s sleep so I can muster up the energy to lug around two bags of luggage at 7:30 in the morning!

Tonight my group of friends went out for one last meal together. We went to George Inn, which was supposedly visited by Charles Dickens when it was a coffee house and is mentioned in Little Dorrit.
George Inn is on the second floor, and I’m assuming the pub is right below it. I had a bacon wrapped chicken with mashed potatoes and spinach. And it was good.

TARDIS, TAKE ME AWWAAYYYY!

Grosvenor Square, right across the street from the United States Embassy.

It has a statue of Franklin Roosevelt and a 9/11 Memorial.

Embassy of the United States in London.

Who’da thunk I’d see the stars and stripes over here?

Oh yeah…and this totally happened a few days ago. Before I could snap a picture of it, there was a double rainbow. I kid you not!
